We Are Eagles
Athletics
MEI Schools athletics goal is to offer our Elementary students exposure to numerous opportunities to be part of a team, while also providing unique skill building sessions. We partner with local basketball and volleyball clubs, as well as coaches, to enhance the opportunities for students to develop. As they reach MEI Middle, the teams become more competitive while still offering many students the chance to play. Athletics culminates in MEI Secondary’s varsity or senior teams, which compete at the highest levels in BC. Currently, the school’s volleyball program is the envy of the province as witnessed by the many provincial banners hanging on the gym wall.
Although competing at the provincial level is part of what the school strives for, developing athlete’s character and faith are equally important. Through the many Christian coaches involved in our athletics programs, MEI Schools takes advantage of the many opportunities to encourage athletes to see their sport participation as a form of worship to their Creator.
As athletes leave MEI Schools, many of them have opportunities to play post-secondary sports in Canada and beyond.

Physical Education
MEI Schools recognizes the integral role physical education plays in whole-student development. Through physical education, we strive to create a vibrant learning environment where students reap the social, mental and physical benefits of activity, while learning the importance of taking care of the body that God has given them. We also value giving our students an opportunity to experience the outdoors and as part of our PE curriculum, beginning in Grades 2, students participate in a variety of outdoor activities. With the guidance of qualified staff, students develop essential movement skills, physical fitness, leadership qualities and learn concepts that foster lifelong healthy living.
MEI Hockey Academy
The MEI Hockey Academy intends to provide high performance training and Christian values-based character development to participating athletes. The academy has an overall purpose of developing young people so they will be well prepared to meet the most significant challenges of school, athletics and post-secondary life.
