Dear MEI Family,
Grant Wardle has resigned his position as Vice Principal at MEI Elementary effective August 1, 2019. Grant has accepted a position within the online school system of Heritage Christian School; a dream job for Grant. While we are very supportive of this move and excited for Grant, it is extremely sad to see him go as he is a valued member of our schools and has been for 17 years.
From Grant
Starting this August, I will be taking a leadership role at Heritage Christian Online School, directing their Middle School program and helping coordinate the transitions from elementary to middle and middle to graduate program. I will also be teaching Math and Science in the DL (distributed learning) world. I have been passionate about technology and online education for many years and I’m excited to step into this new world. This was a very tough decision for me. I have loved every minute of my 17 years here. I can’t imagine a better group of people to work with. It’s been a huge privilege to be part of something so great and I will miss you all.
We are also very thankful that Andrea Penner, LSS Teacher at MEI Elementary, has agreed to step into the Acting Vice Principal role effective August 1 and until the permanent position is filled. We aim to have this position permanently filled by January 1, 2020 following a formal posting and interview process.
Please join me in wishing for Grant and his family God’s richest blessings in this new adventure. Please also join me in welcoming and thanking Andrea for helping us in the interim.
Thanks for your prayers & support,
Vijay
