The MEI grad class of 1996 had a great time coming together for their 20 year grad reunion on August 20, 2016. They met for a catered dinner at the Phoenix Ballroom in Abbotsford. There were 39 Grads in attendance and some spouses attended as well! The grad that had travelled the furthest (timing worked out as such), came all the way from China, while others travelled from Texas, California & here in BC.
The evening was spent talking, talking and more talking! We had plenty of catching up to do, even though many of us are connected on Facebook. Nothing beats a face to face conversation! In fact, there wasn’t a group photo taken or many personal photos either, since everyone was so busy catching up! Paul Loewen and Ravi Cheema were the emcees for the evening. Avinesh Bangar prepared a video of updated photos of grads, and along with some trivia of what the grads are doing 20 years later, we had many door prizes to award, which were donated by grads & their personal/home businesses. Thank you to all who donated items.
The grad reunion committee consisted of Aileen Vildort, Alexa Wittenberg, Avinesh Bangar, Josh Dahl, Paul Loewen and Jen Spring. Thank you for giving up precious time to meet together and respond to several group emails to make decisions – here’s to a successful event!
