Coach Arnie Dick led our men’s MEI alumni team to a thrilling 2 point win over our current Sr. Boys team at the recent bball program fundraising event on January 2.

The Senior Boys basketball team jumped on the alumni team early and a quickly ran up a double digit lead. Coach D calmed the storm with a few time-outs; he tweaked his line-ups and the alumni slowly started to battle back.
With big games from Jesse Smith, Jarris Neufeld and Tyson Barkman, and tenacious defence by Liam Neufeld, the alumni chipped away at the lead and finally went ahead in the 4th quarter. It was a back and forth game that saw the alumni gritting out the win by 2 points in the end.
After the game Shawn Kelly cooked up some burgers for the alumni and the current roster. It was a great event and we cannot wait to do it next year.

Players – $40 minimum donation, payable at the event (includes t-shirt) > RSVP
Fans – $5 adults $2 kids at the door (fee includes entry into the MEI Christmas Classic Tournament that weekend)
SCHEDULE:
7:00 pm – Open game for players who would like to play a recreational, fun game
7:45 pm – 3 point contest
8:00 pm – Alumni “All-stars” with Coach Arnie Dick vs. Current Senior Boys Team
