Saturday, August 20th was a special time of reminiscing and renewing friendships for 65 octogenarian (actual or almost) classmates and spouses in the Azalea Room at Garden Park Tower (2825 Clearbrook Road) as the Class of ’60 gathered to celebrate a belated 60th Reunion.  Of the 65 who attended, 40 were classmates and 25 were spouses.
Highlights of the evening included two of our classmates sharing riveting memories of their lives in war-torn Europe, following the retreating German army to safety,  eventually to Canada, in one case to adoptive parents as his family had been separated, losing him, but also for him to tell us of meeting both parents, in different parts of Russia, as an adult. Another was our valedictorian Anna (Klassen) Born reflecting on having been chosen to speak on behalf of her class in 1960, and the honour it had been.  Singing our Class song – Each Step I Take – brought tears to many eyes and has been a part of each Reunion we have had.  We look forward to our 65th in three years time!

2020 Reunion Cancelled Due to Covid-19
